In your opinion, why do 95% of online marketers fail?
There could be many reasons why 95% of online marketers fail, and it's difficult to say for sure without knowing more about the specific circumstances and strategies of each individual marketer.
A McKinsey report states that e-commerce brands can achieve a 5% to 15% revenue increase with omnichannel personalization at scale.
However, some possible reasons for failure in online marketing could include:
Lack of focus or direction,
Inability to adapt to changes in the market or consumer behavior,
Poor execution of marketing strategies,
Lack of necessary skills or expertise [also mistakenly believe that tools and software will do the job for them], and
Competition from other marketers.
It's also possible that some online marketers may fail simply because the market they are trying to enter is already saturated or because they are trying to sell products or services that are not in demand. In other words, product is not market-fit.
Other reasons that cannot be ignored why online marketers fail is because they have a “get-rich-quick” mentality. They fail to realize that success takes hard work and dedication, and they give up before they have the chance to succeed [sustainability issues].
Ultimately, the success or failure of an online marketer will depend on a variety of factors, and it's important for marketers to carefully research and plan their strategies in order to increase their chances of success including updating abilities to keep up with trends and market demands.
