How to understand your customer needs better using one habit?

How to understand your customer needs better using one habit?:

Your ability to grow depends on how much you understand why your customers use your product and what could get them to use it more.

There are so many blog posts and books that talk about how to get to know your customer, how to build profiles on your ideal customers, and how to learn what your customers want.

Often, these posts and books talk about a full plan of how to do this.

But, you are busy. You have meetings stacked up, you have emails you need to send and you have marketing collateral you have to put together.

But, there are two problems if you don’t get close to your customers:

1) You lose perspective on whether the work you are doing actually matters to your customers;

2) You don’t build your product or marketing in a way that appeals to your customers.

So, here is one simple habit…every morning, call ONE of your customers.

Keep the phone call to 15 minutes and have a few questions on hand.

You can reach out to them ahead of time or you can just call them and say hello.

What should you say…it’s simple…

“Hey, I’m X. I run Y business or company. I just wanted to call you and thank you for being a customer and see what we can do better. Have 15 minutes for a quick chat?” and then ask

“Why did you buy on Y business or company? How did you find us?

What can we do better for you to come back as a customer more often?”

Short, sweet, and to the point.

At the end, thank them and send them a nice thank you gift.

It can be a coupon for your site, a coffee gift card, or something else.

It’s simple and will keep you aligned with your customers for the rest of the day.

So, what are you waiting for? Start calling your customers and make them need you or your business....
